Board

Mark Hancock

Non-Executive Chair

Mr Hancock, who holds a Bachelor of Business (B.Bus) degree, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (F FIN), has over 30 years’ experience in key financial, commercial and marketing roles across a variety of industries with a strong focus on natural resources.

During 13 years at Atlas Iron, Mr Hancock served in numerous roles including CCO, CFO, Executive Director and Company Secretary. He also has strong board-level experience, particularity on matters covering governance, financial reporting, offtake marketing, mergers and acquisitions, risk management and strategy.

Mr Hancock has served as a director on a number of ASX-listed entities and is currently a Director of Centaurus Metals (ASX: CTM) and CuFe Ltd (ASX: CUF).

Jozsef Patarica

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Mr Patarica has a wealth of operational and executive experience in the resources industry, including the mineral sands sector.

Mr Patarica has extensive experience at senior operational and executive levels in Australia and Africa. He has successfully transitioned several projects through the development phase into sustainable operations. As Chief Executive Officer of Grande Cote Operations for Mineral Deposits Limited, Mr Patarica led the ramp up to nameplate capacity of the world-class mineral sands operation in Senegal, West Africa. This involved optimising the Mineral Resource and maximising the project’s economics. Mr Patarica also led the development of the Fosterville Gold Mine, now the largest gold producer in Victoria. The operation has recently passed a significant milestone producing 4Moz since the commencement of operations and employs over 800 people.

John Hodder

Non-Executive Director

Mr Hodder is a Geologist by background with a B.Sc. in Geological Sciences and a B.Com. in Finance and Commerce from the University of Queensland. He spent ten years in the mining and oil and gas industries before completing a MSc. Finance at London Business School. John established the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) mining, oil and gas investment department in 1995 and was responsible for its investment activities for some eight years. He has served as a director of a number of junior mining companies and has significant experience of operating and investing in Africa. John also worked at Suncorp and Solaris as a Fund Manager focusing on the resources sector managing an index-linked natural resource portfolio of ~AUD$1.25bn.

James Chialo

Director of the Company’s Tanzanian Subsidiaries

Mr Chialo obtained his Business Degree at Notre Dame University in Western Australia and has been a Director of Strandline’s Tanzanian subsidiaries since 2016. Mr Chialo is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and is also employed as Strandline’s senior manager of Stakeholder and Sustainability, overseeing the Company’s key exploration and development activities in Tanzania.

Belinda Murray

Chief Operating Officer

Belinda is an experienced executive with over 20 years in the resources industry. Belinda previously spent 12 years with the BGC Group in various leadership roles and played an integral role in overseeing the Company’s growth.  She has held a broad range of responsibilities including various aspects of mining operations, commercial, safety, governance, culture and sustainability. Belinda was formerly Strandline’s Head of Commercial & Strategic Development.

Robert Ierace

Chief Financial Officer

Robert is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 25 years’ experience with a number of ASX, FSE and AIM listed resources companies. Most recently, Robert was Chief Financial Officer for dual listed ASX, FSE lithium developer Vulcan Energy Resources Limited. Robert’s extensive career has included senior finance roles with Amadeus Energy Limited, Kimberley Diamond Company NL and Rio Tinto Iron Ore.

Jamie Cann

General Counsel and Company Secretary

With over 25 years as a corporate lawyer, in-house legal counsel and commercial manager, Jamie joins as General Counsel, Head of Risk and Compliance and Company Secretary. He brings a wealth of international experience in resources and mineral sands, having been Legal Manager with Iluka Resources for nine years and most recently with Fortescue Future Industries in various roles including Head of Global Governance and Compliance and as part of the International Operations team working across multiple countries in Africa and the Middle East.

James Chialo

Director of Tanzanian Subsidiaries – Stakeholder and Sustainability

James is an experienced manager of exploration and logistics activities in Tanzania. James is focused on developing enduring supplier and stakeholder relations, underpinned by respect, trust and enriching lives through our participation.
